1. My most successful project i feel, was my landscape painting. The emphasis of my painting was the sky. I wanted all the different colors to blend together to make it look realistic. I painted the ground a dark color so the bright colors in the sky really stood out. I thought that this technique was beneficial to my painting, because it enhanced my sky, and made everything look realistic. When i first started this project, i really didn't think it was going to come out good, but i learned that painting is actually really easy and fun. I don't feel i needed more instruction because my painting was really successful.
2. My least successful project was my print fish. I felt this turned out the worst because I didn't put enough detail in, and it didn't look realistic. If i could do anything differently or change anything, i would've added more details. The scales could have been worked on, and i should've spent more time on them. Also the background wasn't that great. The only thing i added was coral, and i should've added tiny fish or something like that. I never put enough ink on, so some spots are blotchy, that's another thing i would fix. Over all i just should have put more effort into this project. 3. The two pieces that represent my growth through out the semester are my blind contour hand drawing and my perspective drawing. My blind contour hand drawing did not show that i applicated myself as much as my perspective drawing. My perspective drawing had a lot of technique and detail. I chose to draw a subway station in my perspective drawing because my whole family is from New York and subway stations is what i think of when i hear New York. It showed creativity and represented me as an artist. Although my contour drawing did have some details, i feel that it didn't show creativity and intuition. These two pieces of art work show that i have learned a lot in this class, and have really grown through out it.I also enjoyed this class a lot and want to continue to art 2 next year. 4. A project we did that represented me as an artist was my black and white final. It showed creativity and imagination. The picture was supposed to convey what i feel like when i listen to music. It represents me because one of my favorite things is music. The design i added represented me as an artist cause i feel like that's how i like to draw. Also My favorite color scheme is black and white. 5. My favorite medium to work with was painting. It was not only easy to work with, it was also fun. You can tell that my best work was my landscape painting, and i feel that came out great. I definitely want to work with paint again in art 2 next year. |
