In class we practiced drawing a sphere using our value chart. We needed to create a light source, and the darkest spot. Shading the sphere came pretty easy to me, and it was also fun to draw. Then we started drawing cones and cubes, which were a alot harder. I think the Cube was the hardest shape to draw.
The first project we did in class was an animal hand drawing. The pictures are a before and after of my animal. I chose to draw an elephant because it's my favorite animal. I had a fun time with this project because I could create Anything I wanted. I think it turned out reat cool too. This is a before and after of all my shapes joined together. the first picture is drawn in pencil, and the second is in oil pastel. I like drawing in pencil better, because it was easier to blend the shading together. With oil pastel it took a lot more effort to make the colors look like they are transferring into a darker color. This is a drawing of a smurf character and his skeleton. I imagined he had all the same bones as a human, so I just drew the same skeleton on him, I think this project is really cool and creative. I had fun drawing the skeleton and it was surprisingly easy. Also i think it turned out really interesting and unique. This is my drawing of a modified contour hand drawing. After practicing so much drawing my hand blind, it was a lot easier for me to include every detail onto my paper. I feel like my modified hand drawing came out a lot better then it ever has. I used to just draw turkey hands, but now I know how to draw a realistic looking hand. This is a picture of blind contour lines. This means that we had to draw our hand blind. We had to get every detail, angle, and we couldn't lift out pencil off the paper. Mine didn't come out very good, but it was funny in a way. I would of rather not of been blind, but it was interesting. |
